Hot off the heels of his GRAMMY® nomination earlier this month, singer/songwriter/musician/producer/SuperStar partner Tom Hambridge was honored once again to play at the Kennedy Center Honors. He played drums for the Buddy Guy performance of the Muddy Waters’ classic “Hoochie Coochie Man” that wowed the entire room. Watch the clip of the show that has just been posted on YouTube. Music critic Bob Lefsetz said Guy’s performance was the highlight of the night and, “Performance is a funny game. It’s he who transcends who is remembered. You can be good, you can be great, but if you can blow us away…And that’s what Buddy Guy did.” Definitely worth a watch!

SSR Artist Quinn Sullivan came to town to work with producer Tom Hambridge and his A-list team of studio musicians here in Nashville. As John Lennon would have said: ‘a splendid time was had by all!’ and the band rocked the foundations of the Tracking Room! More soon on this exciting work in PROGRESS!

Producer, songwriter, performer, and SuperStar partner Tom Hambridge is the subject of an in-depth interview over on the Chicago Blues website where he discusses what it is like to collaborate with Buddy Guy and George Thorogood, amongst the many big names in music that he has worked with. Most recently he was at the helm of Buddy Guy’s latest album, Rhythm & Blues, that evolved into a two disc album at Hambridge’s urging. After recording the songs Hambridge called Buddy Guy and said, “We’ve covered all of it; the rhythm and the blues…What do you think about having it be two discs, a rhythm record and a blues record?” After a few other big names in music—Keith Urban, Kid Rock, and Gary Clark Jr, for example—signed on to contribute to a few of the tracks the showstopping, soulful, wide-ranging, Billboard chart topper, and just-darn-impressive 27th album by Buddy Guy was […]

Prolific producer, songwriter and performer Tom Hambridge has indelibly left his mark on five albums currently climbing the Billboard Blues Chart this summer, producing four albums, contributing songs to all five and performing on a number of the tracks as drummer and vocalist. It’s no wonder that Hambridge is considered one of the most sought after producers in the business today. After debuting at number one and currently holding strong at the number two spot, is Buddy Guy’s critically acclaimed Rhythm & Blues, a double-disc blockbuster that Hambridge both produced and co-wrote eighteen of the album’s twenty-one songs. Rhythm & Blues features special guests including: Keith Urban, Kid Rock, Gary Clark, Jr. Steven Tyler and Joe Perry from Aerosmith. Hambridge worked directly with each of these world-class performers to capture their best. Of Guy, John Parales from the New York Times said: “Whether he’s singing about his mother’s advice or the […]

Grammy-winning producer and SuperStar partner Tom Hambridge is the focus of the latest Blues Blast Magazine. He sat down for a full length interview with the publication to talk about how he first got started in the music business and what it has been like to work with artists like Susan Tedeschi, James Cotton, Buddy Guy, and many others. He also performed with Buddy Guy at the White House in 2012 during Black History Month. “Appearing at The White House was a huge honor,” says Hambridge. “The White House reached out to me and asked me to put together a blue print for a Blues Show at the White House during Black History Month. It was so beautiful to see it all come together and be a part of it. I had a ball getting to play drums for Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy and even the President who I did […]
