Producer, songwriter, performer, and SuperStar partner Tom Hambridge is the subject of an in-depth interview over on the Chicago Blues website where he discusses what it is like to collaborate with Buddy Guy and George Thorogood, amongst the many big names in music that he has worked with. Most recently he was at the helm of Buddy Guy’s latest album, Rhythm & Blues, that evolved into a two disc album at Hambridge’s urging. After recording the songs Hambridge called Buddy Guy and said, “We’ve covered all of it; the rhythm and the blues…What do you think about having it be two discs, a rhythm record and a blues record?” After a few other big names in music—Keith Urban, Kid Rock, and Gary Clark Jr, for example—signed on to contribute to a few of the tracks the showstopping, soulful, wide-ranging, Billboard chart topper, and just-darn-impressive 27th album by Buddy Guy was born. That’s only the beginning of the behind-the-scenes information that Hambridge shared, so click over for the full read.
